Pike Beachum watches the marshall ride off with Joe Merchant. Pike asks Ellie Merchant, what happened. Pike put Enoch Miller’s horses in Joe’s barn so he could have more time with Ellie. Ellie tells Pike Joe can’t run a farm. Pike is wanted for robbery and murder. Matt asks if Ellie knows anyone who would want to get Joe in trouble. Pike rides up. Matt arrests him.
